Make the most of your day

Alright back into the swing of things with blogging. With my new job at LA Fitness I have been switching which day I have off and now am taking over for a trainer that left so my work/sleep schedule has been all messed up, but now I am back on track.

With training I train in the morning and then again in the afternoon/evening. Now I work about 30 minutes from where I live so I am finding things to do in The Woodlands area to pass my time.

We have had such nice weather here lately so I have been taking advantage of it an heading out to parks for lunch and then a workout.

Get outside and enjoy the weather!!

Where did the exercise go?

I don't think I have worked out in the last two weeks. Which is really bad but very common. I have been learning the ropes of my new job and I am finally getting the swing of it all.

I still don't have my official LA polo shirt in so I dress up, but I do get some funny stares while on the floor training people in church clothes. I am hoping to have the shirts in sometime next week.

Today I finally get the day off after working over time with The Little Gym moving and getting trained at LA before I started full time on Monday. It is freezing outside but I have hoping to bundle up and at least get a good walk in to keep my body moving.

I still need to take monthly pictures and measurements, I will post them later. You cant laugh when I do because I am sure there is not much of a change.

How do you slow down life?

I don't think I knew one day from the next this past week. I will start working full time at LA Fitness on Monday but still had to work full time at The Little Gym, plus go in for training at LA Fitness. Do you think I was able to get in workouts this week? Haha....NO, and it is time to remeasure and take new pictures.

Thanks to lovely Texas weather I got to experience De-icing my car before being able to go to work Friday Morning.

It was COLD!!!!
I am looking forward to my full week at LA Fitness and possibly findning some time for some workouts.

EXCITING NEWS!!!! (no,I am not pregnant)


I am so proud of myself today!!!! I have been keeping up with my running and I feel GREAT!!!!

Ok, well with more exciting news, I accepted a job today as a Personal Trainer Counselor with LA Fitness. This is the position i was hoping to work towards in the next 2 month, but got the offer today without having to train for a few months first!

Everyone knows how long I have been in fitness and been a personal trainer. I am so excited to get back into a gym and open up the potential for Drew and I to grow as a family possibly sooner than when I am 30.

I start training for this position on Tuesday and will start full time in a few weeks. Though this does mean I will say goodbye to The Little Gym..... :(

YAY, How Exciting!!!! I have been praying and waiting for this day for a very long time!!!

Running, running, running, get those feet running!

So since my workouts have not actually been going the way I originally planed I decided it it time to get back into the running things. I have decided to run on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Fridays. Plus fit in some strength training workouts in between.

I did well Sunday, ran at Meyer Park and even pushed myself to run a full mile straight and walk an additional 3 miles. Tuesday I ended up having to work from 9-8pm so that pushed my running plan back. I am back on it tomorrow and will be back on track for Friday.

I will post some pictures tomorrow, I know it is more fun to read a blog when pictures tell the story.

Im here.......

I have been keeping the workouts up, just not hopping on the computer to blog about them. Drew has been busy with his business and getting taxes ready since we file quarterly for his company, so I have been without the computer most days.



As I type this entry my arms and shoulders are sore from "playing" at work testing out our gymnastic rings. I need to try to get in some cardio tomorrow, though it is supposed to freeze tonight so I don't know if cardio will be done outside tomorrow.



Here is what I did one day.....



Yes, I do enjoy my shake weight! I love to test out the "As seen on TV" and determine if it is actually worth buying.



I'm getting a little nervous to remeasure and weigh again in two week. I don't really think I have been putting my all into it, and I don't think anythings has really changed.

But it must still be done, time to kick it into high gear!

Keep on Trucking.....

The workouts are going well. I have been having fun picking a new and different activity each day and have not had to many problems fighting through the soreness. With Sassy around I got some good walk/runs in over the weekend.

Today my plan was to do a kick boxing workout through netflix though my Internet decide to have a slow connection today so that was not possible. i was a little upset at first and then it clicked in that I am a personal trainer and I do not need a dvd or workout plan to make up my own workout.

I ended up doing about 30 minutes of total body strength training and then I walked in place, side to side, and back and forth for 30 minutes as I watched The Biggest Loser.

Drew and I still had Sassy today, she got picked up tonight by my dad. So during my workout this morning she was trying to figure out what I was trying to do. Then she gave up and hid under a blanket. As you can see I was working on my squats and lunges.
